Brent Clark was appointed City Administrator for the City of Valley Center in July 2019. Previously, Clark served as the City Administrator in Grand Island, Nebraska. Prior to serving in Grand Island, Clark was the City Administrator/Zoning Administrator in Broken Bow, Nebraska from February 2015 to December 2018. Prior to serving in Broken Bow, Clark was the City Administrator/Clerk/Treasurer in Dakota City, Nebraska from August 2011 to February 2015. He is the former South Sioux City/Dakota County Convention & Visitors Bureau Director, and previously worked for the City of South Sioux City as the Grant Coordinator/Economic Development Assistant. Clark has over a decade of experience supporting community, economic, and tourism development throughout multiple Nebraska Communities. He is driven to help communities identify and overcome needs and opportunities, as well as, leading the implementation of sustainable community and economic development strategies. Clark obtained his bachelors degree from Wayne State College in May 2009. He has served as the Nebraska City/County Management Association (NCMA) President from 2017-2018.
