Barry Smith began his service as Assistant City Administrator for Finance and Administration for the City of Valley Center in March 2019. Previously, Barry served as the City Treasurer for Valley Center from mid 2016 to late 2017. Barry obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wichita State University in Dec 2010 and May 2017, respectively. Barry is responsible for multiple departments within the City including Utility Billing, Municipal Court, IT, Human Resources, City Clerk functions, and all financial matters of the City such as budgeting, Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) management, and all accounting functions. Barry is passionate about public service and is proud to be a part of the City of Valley Center!
