The KSFMNP is a USDA grant program that provides a once annual benefit to low income seniors. Seniors who meet the income guidelines will receive a booklet of six, $5 checks totaling $30 to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs and honey from farmers markets, including the Common Ground Mobile Farmers Market. Valley Center receives a limited number of KSFMNP checks. They are first come, first served to seniors 60 and older. They must fill out an application, meet income guidelines to qualify, and have not received KSFMNP checks from any other agency for the 2019 market season. If you are interested in receiving KSFMNP checks, you must come to the community building on Monday, June 10th, 10:00 AM– 2:00 PM to receive your benefit. If there aren’t enough checks, you will be placed on a waiting list. Please note: Being placed on a waiting list, does no guarantee more checks will become available.
