The ban will include all open burning of any waste, including vegetation and wood waste, structures, or any materials on any premises during the month of April. The Kansas Department of Health & Environment Open Burning Regulations (K.A.R. 28-19-645a)
Exceptions to the open burn ban include pasture, crop, range, and wildlife or watershed management. The allowed burning operations will still require a valid permit from Valley Center Fire Department.
This will not effect grills, smokers, campfires (3 ft. around and 2 ft. high), fire pits, and chimeneas.
