Individuals are encouraged to take precautions to avoid the spread of infection, such as washing hands frequently, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home if you have symptoms of illness. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends older adults and those with compromised immune systems or serious underlying health conditions take extra precautions. Here are some other guidelines:
