AARP Tax-Aide Tax Preparation will be returning to Valley Center for the upcoming tax season. IRS certified volunteers will be offering FREE simple tax preparation help to anyone, and if you’re 50 and older, and can’t afford a tax preparation service, this service was made especially for you. Also, this year only disabled veterans may qualify for a one-time refund of taxes paid from disability severance. They will need to bring in the letter they received from The Department of Defense. Free tax preparation will be available at Valley Center Community Bldg., 314 E. Clay on February 6th, 20th, 27th and March 6th,

What You Need to Bring to Your Tax Appointment: Social Security Card for everyone on your return, last year’s tax returns, Photo I.D., a blank check if you want direct deposit for your refund, if you are filing a joint return, both individuals must be present, all tax documents.
