--Routinely practice your plan of escape.
--Have a meeting place once you escape so you know everyone has made it out safely.
THINGS TO CHECK DURING A BEDTIME CHECK
--Make sure all cigarettes and candles are out properly.
--Make sure all cooking equipment is turned off properly.
--Make sure all fire embers are extinguished and stored properly.
--Make sure you turn off and unplug all electrical appliances.
