Due to a higher than normal call volume Sedgwick County Emergency Communications will staff a non emergency number specifically for fireworks complaints. They will also take other loud noise and party complaints.
Emergency Communications will again be staffing their non-emergency number for fireworks and nuisance complaints during the 4th of July weekend. As always, this line should be used to report fireworks complaints when no one is injured and nothing is on fire. Loud parties and noise complaints should also be reported on this line, when activated, as long as there is no disturbance or other illegal activity involved. Calls made on the 9-1-1 lines reporting these types of events will be transferred over to the non-emergency line during their hours of operation but please call the non-emergency line directly, 316-290-1011, as to keep the 9-1-1 lines clear for life threatening emergencies.
The non-emergency line will be staffed during the following times –
1830 on Friday, July 1st through 0300 on Saturday, July 2nd
1830 on Saturday, July 2nd through 0300 on Sunday, July 3rd
1830 on Sunday, July 3rd through 0300 on Monday, July 4th
1830 on Monday, July 4th through 0300 on Tuesday, July 5th
