[ARCHIVED] VALLEY CENTER SIGN REGULATIONS

As warmer weather approaches, we would like to take this opportunity to remind residents and business owners that the City of Valley Center has sign regulations that are actively enforced. The city’s sign ordinance can be found in Chapter 17.07 of the city code. The purpose of the city’s sign regulation is to provide safeguard to the public use of the streets and the sidewalk area and to equitably enhance the visual environment. Recently, city staff has noticed multiple yard signs that have been placed in the public right-of-way. This is a violation of the city code, except where and when allowed, such as the posting of garage sale signs on the weekend of the citywide garage sales. For further clarification of the city’s sign regulations or if you have other questions, please contact the Valley Center Community Development Department at 316-755-7310. Thank you for helping make and keep Valley Center a clean, attractive community.
