To: Area Residents
The Valley Center Planning Commission invites you to attend a meeting on Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Council Chambers in City Hall at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the possibilities for the South Meridian Neighborhood Plan. With the adoption of the COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE VALLEY CENTER AREA, KANSAS: 2007 – 2013; one of the goals was to create a neighborhood plan for the area. The Planning Commission feels that with the Wal-Mart at 53rd and Meridian that change will be coming in the new future for that area. We would like your assistance in shaping the future of the area. From the attendees, a group will be chosen to serve on a Steering Committee with members of the Planning Commission and City Council.
Our objective is to have the South Meridian Neighborhood Plan adopted by the Planning Commission and approved by the City Council as an element of the Comprehensive Plan by December 31, 2009.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Al Hobson, Chairman
Valley Center City Planning Commission
