[ARCHIVED] Barton Tour - City Council Invitation by KDHE

ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), with the permission of Barton Solvents, wishes to extend an invitation to representatives of the City of Valley Center and other interested parties to participate in a tour of the facility grounds on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. Representatives of Barton Solvents and KDHE will be on hand to lead the tour, the purpose of which is to observe the tank farm excavation area, the current KDHE-approved landfarm operation, and the former unapproved landfarm location. A representative of the Sedgwick County Health Department will also be present. Before the tour commences, KDHE will give a brief presentation of response activities conducted to date and will have summary information available. Please bring comfortable shoes for the walking tour. KDHE will provide hard hats and safety goggles.
